vivo has reportedly increased the prices of the X300 FE and S2 in India, with the latest revision taking effect on September 25, 2026. The X300 FE has become ₹5,000 more expensive across both reported variants, while the S2 has received a price increase of up to ₹4,000.

The latest revision comes just as India's festive shopping season begins to gather pace, making the change particularly relevant for buyers who were considering either smartphone before the major online sales.

The vivo X300 FE 8GB + 256GB variant is now priced at ₹89,999, compared with ₹84,999 previously. The 12GB + 256GB model has moved from ₹89,999 to ₹94,999. Both configurations therefore carry a flat ₹5,000 increase.

The S2 has seen a slightly smaller but still noticeable increase. Its 8GB + 128GB variant has reportedly moved from ₹39,999 to ₹42,999, while the 8GB + 256GB version has increased from ₹44,999 to ₹48,999. The hikes work out to ₹3,000 and ₹4,000 respectively.

The X300 FE is the more significant change of the two. The smartphone is positioned as a performance-focused premium model, featuring a 6.31-inch 1.5K AMOLED display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, 6,500mAh battery and 90W charging. Its camera system includes a 50MP main sensor and a dedicated 50MP telephoto camera co-engineered with ZEISS.

The S2 takes a different approach, focusing on battery life and display quality. It features a 6.83-inch 1.5K curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, MediaTek Dimensity 7360-Turbo chipset and a large 7,050mAh battery. The phone also includes a 50MP main camera and 32MP front camera.

The timing of the price revision is worth noting. Festive sales typically bring aggressive discounts, bank offers and exchange bonuses, so the higher official or listed price does not necessarily translate into the same increase in the final amount paid by consumers. However, buyers comparing phones based on their listed price will now see both models positioned higher than they were previously.

The latest move also follows earlier price adjustments affecting the X300 FE. The model had already seen significant changes to its Indian pricing during the year, making the September revision another notable shift for a smartphone that has been on the market for only a few months.

vivo has not publicly given a specific reason for the September 25 price increase. Recent market reports have linked several smartphone price revisions across brands to higher memory and component costs, although there is no official statement from vivo confirming that as the reason for these particular changes.

For buyers, the change means the X300 FE now crosses the ₹90,000 mark for its higher configuration, while the S2 moves further into the ₹40,000-plus segment. That makes festive discounts and exchange offers more important for anyone looking to purchase either phone during the upcoming sales period.

The price revision also illustrates how quickly smartphone pricing can change in India's market. A phone's launch price may remain unchanged for only a limited period as manufacturers respond to component costs, currency movement, supply conditions and competitive pressures. For consumers, checking the latest listed price immediately before purchase has become increasingly important.

With the latest reported revision, the vivo X300 FE starts at ₹89,999, while the vivo S2 starts at ₹42,999. Whether the higher pricing remains in place through the festive season will depend on future promotions and any further changes to vivo's retail pricing.
